The 8th annual Twilight Hayride Pub Crawl will be held on October 23, 2008. A fun addition to this year’s event will be a costume contest at 7:00 pm held on the parking lot at 9th and Geyer along with live music by the local band Elemental Shakedown. Prizes will be given for best costumes.

Beginning at 7:00pm horse drawn hayracks will wander through the Soulard neighborhood allowing riders to get on and off at over 15 Soulard Restaurants and Pubs. Each Pub will offer special treats, such as; special drink prices, free prizes and live music. The hayracks will run from 7:00 pm to 12:30 am. The ticket price for the event is $10.00 which will allow participants to have unlimited access to riding the hayracks, and can be purchased at any participating establishment.

This has always been a good event with the largest attendance being approximately 4500 hayride partiers. With the promotion and marketing that is planned this year’s event will be a great success.

Proceeds from this event will benefit the Soulard Safety Program and Word In Motion.

Both of these charity organizations are 501(C) 3 non-profit foundations.
